What is ONSPEED?
ONSPEED is the solution for millions of Internet users who are frustrated by having a slow Internet connection and is a real alternative to Broadband.
ONSPEED is a software download which utilises a unique 9 patent approved compression technology that increases your existing Internet connection speed by up to 5 times.
ONSPEED is: Easy to install for PC and MAC
Available anywhere in the world
works with your existing ISP
A software download so there is NO need for new hardware
70% of the benefits of broadband at less than a tenth of the cost
How does ONSPEED workAs you cannot physically change the speed of your Internet connection, ONSPEED uses a technology called Content Sensitive Compression ('CSC') to individually compress each element of a web page or email content using various compression algorithms based on a nine Patent approved proprietary technology.
The end result is that your web pages and emails (PC only) load and download as quickly as if you were on a Broadband connection.
When your web browser requests a Web Page, the ONSPEED software redirects that request to the ONSPEED Compression Servers. They take the respective Web Page content, compresses it and sends it back down to the ONSPEED software which decompresses it and sends it to the Browser requesting the information. At the moment we have dedicated algorithms for:
Photo-realistic images (e.g., JPEG, PNG, GIF, and BMP)
Line Art and Drawings (e.g., GIF, BMP)
Animated objects (GIF)
HTML objects
Text, etc
Office Documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Macromedia Flash
Any data elements that we do not have a dedicated algorithm for gets compressed using a generic compression algorithm. This ensures that we can still get a 20-30% speed increase on these elements.
We are constantly working on new algorithms to improve and enhance our service. By late 2005 we will have MP3 files, flash, and Mpeg4 for video available, achieving a 300% - 500% speed increase. You will automatically get notified when this occurs.

What do the experts say about ONSPEED?ONSPEED has 9 patents approved on its technology and has been given numerous awards by many of the UK's leading computer and internet titles.
What are ONSPEED's limitations?ONSPEED speeds up your web browsing and sending/receiving of emails*.
ONSPEED will not accelerate browsing over HTTPS (secure websites) or accelerate file downloads or uploads such as MP3, exes or streaming media content (over FTP or file sharing programs). In future, ONSPEED are looking to add these features.
ONSPEED does not increase the size of your internet connection. It compresses the data received hence speeding up your web browsing experience. ONSPEED does not replace your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) and is to be used in conjunction with your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP).
ONSPEED offers the following value-added service in addition to speeding up your web and e-mail usage: Integrated Diagnostic Support Tool, Pop-Up Blocker and Ad blocker.

VPN's and certain satellite connections) . ONSPEED does not replace your existing connection, it makes your current connection faster.
Can I use my existing telephone line at the same time as using ONSPEED?ONSPEED does not replace your current connection, it is software which accelerates it and therefore if you are not currently on broadband ONSPEED does not have the ability to free up your line.
Does ONSPEED work in my country?ONSPEED works in any country worldwide. (excl. certain Middle East countries who connect via a proxy)
Can I use ONSPEED with my mobile phone?Yes. You must be connecting to the internet using a mobile phone from your PC or laptop which has the ONSPEED software installed.
If you are using a GPRS connection, where you are charged for the data you up/down load, there is also the added benefit that, due to compression, your phone bill will be substantially lowered because of the reduction in data received. This can result in up to a 90% reduction in costs since mobile phone providers charge per MB downloaded.
Web pages that normally take 25 seconds to load will load in less than 6 seconds.
Wireless users on a (9.6Kbps) regular mobile phone connection will feel that they are running on a narrowband (56Kbps) connection with up to 5 times increase in speeds including downloading of email.
Does ONSPEED speed up email?Yes. ONSPEED can reduce the amount of time it takes to send and receive e-mail. ONSPEED accelerates e-mail transparently without any user intervention, so you can use your e-mail program exactly as you normally would. It is compatible with any standard IMAP/POP3/SMTP client, including Outlook Express, Eudora, Mozilla Thunderbird and Netscape Mail. E-mail acceleration is enabled by default.
Please note: ONSPEED does not speed up e-mail for MAC users.
I have more than 1 computer. Can I use ONSPEED on all of my computers?Unfortunately ONSPEED is a license per machine and as such each computer that you would like to install ONSPEED onto will require an additional license.
Can you confirm that ONSPEED does not have any spyware included in it software?ONSPEED does not include any spyware, and this has been confirmed by the magazines that have reviewed our software.
